    Lords of the Ocean. Treasures of the Portuguese Empire of the 16th-18th centuries

    More than two hundred artifacts from museums and private collections in Portugal, Russia and other countries will help to demonstrate, on the one hand, the magnificence of the Portuguese court, the traditions of Portuguese navigation, science and culture. On the other hand, they will present vivid evidence of mutual influence and cultural exchange between the metropolitan power and its dominions in India, China, Japan, Africa and Brazil

    Exhibition of the Treasures of the Portuguese Empire of the 16th-18th centuries in the Kremlin Museums

    The Moscow Kremlin State Historical and Cultural Museum and Heritage Site (the Moscow Kremlin Museums) is happy to announce that between December 8, 2017 and February 25, 2018, the exhibition halls of the Assumption Belfry and the Patriarch's Palace will host the exhibition "Lords of the Ocean. Treasures of the Portuguese Empire of the 16th-18th Centuries". It would be the first time for the Moscow Kremlin Museums to turn their attention to the history of one of the greatest global empires of the Modern Era at its golden age.

    Romanovs and the Holy See: 1613-1917. Russia and the Vatican

    The Moscow Kremlin Museums participate in the exhibition dedicated to the centuries-old history of the relations between Russia and the Holy See. On display there are about 250 exhibits and archive documents from the leading museums and archives of Russia.

    Catherine the Great in Russia and Beyond

    The Moscow Kremlin Museums participate in the exhibition held at the State Russian Museum, that offers a perspective on how Russian internal and geopolitical transformations, related to the reign of Empress Catherine the Great, were reflected in art.
