The website's section «Research projects» is dedicated to a labour intensive process of restoration and research work, revival of the museums' monuments having lost their memorial status and having been used by administrative and logistic services. For example, in the One-Pillar Chamber of the Patriarch's Palace, which has been used as a public lavatory from the beginning of the 1960s, a new exhibition hall was opened in 2005 after a long restoration work. As for the Ivan the Great Bell-Tower, it served as service rooms till 1996. Upon completion of recovery work it is planned to open a new exposition, dedicated to a history of development of the Moscow Kremlin architectural complex and its historical monuments, having been lost or destroyed through centuries.
The section introduces completed projects of restoration of the Moscow Kremlin architectural monuments as well as results of archeological researches, carried out in the territory of Kremlin.
