The huge exhibition “Boris Godunov. The publishing project consisting of a fundamental scientific catalogue and four popular science publications (“The Godunovs”, “English carriage of Boris Godunov”, “Godunov's Book of Psalms of 1591” and “Boris Godunov” for schools) was specially made for the exhibition.

The exhibition was accompanied by the next multimedia projects: the film “Chosen to Reign”, five taped interviews with the curators of the museum collections and the program for the touch-sensitive screen, which allows to look through the virtual pages of the “Godunov's Book of Psalms”.

The 2nd International music festival «Ambassadorial gifts» was dedicated to the music of Boris Godunov's period of reign. The authentic music of the 16th – 17th centuries was presented by well-known ensembles from Russia, France, the UK and Iran.

An international scientific conference “The Moscow Kremlin and the Epoch of Boris Godunov”, as well as informal dialogs between the amateurs of history and noted scientists were held in the frames of the project. The video recordings were posted both on the official website of the Museum and on the Moscow Kremlin Museums’ channel on YouTube. There were also creative activities on the subject of "Boris Godunov - the first elected tsar" for primary school students.
