In 1920s, vanity cases became a must-have accessory of a stylish woman. There were several sections inside them for keeping a variety of items, i.e. mirror, powder, lipstick, and perhaps dance cards – that is all the necessary things for a woman, which might be of need at any time and must be at her fingertips. Vanity cases became the symbol of the Art Deco style.

Larissa Peshekhonova, curator of the exhibition, curator of the 20th-21th century jewellery collection of the Moscow Kremlin Museums tells about fine accessories by Cartier.
