The film was created in connection with the exhibition “Ming Dynasty: The Radiance of Knowledge” in the Moscow Kremlin Museums, which presents over 150 objects from the collection of the Shanghai Museum. This film introduces the times of the Ming dynasty, and the founder and the first Emperor of the dynasty – Zhu Yuanzhang. Specialists call that period the "extension of knowledge", because the passion for art, literature, music, and in-depth knowledge of philosophical and historical treatises became a real cult. Installation of the 'Saint Louis and Relics of the Sainte-Chapelle' exhibition has begun at the exhibition hall of the Patriarch's Palace. The experts of the Moscow Kremlin Museums and museums-participants have finished installing several fragments of the exposition such as stained glass from the Sainte-Chapelle and the Cluny Museum, sculptural portrait of Isabella of France (St Louis's daughter) from the collegiate church in Poissy, and at last, the main exhibit, a historical artifact of France — the reliquary for the Holy crown of thorns from the treasury of the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris.
The `Notre-Dame Cathedral` prefabricated carton model allows to become familiar with one of the most famous Gothic buildings. The model can be opened, so it is possible to have a look inside the cathedral and even examine its stained-glass windows.

Vanity cases, cigarette and lipstick cases, scent-bottles, powder-cases – all these miniature things became as significant as pieces of jewellery, which is a characteristic feature of the Art Deco.
In 1920s, vanity cases became a must-have accessory of a stylish woman. There were several sections inside them for keeping a variety of items, i.e. mirror, powder, lipstick, and perhaps dance cards – that is all the necessary things for a woman, which might be of need at any time and must be at her fingertips. Vanity cases became the symbol of the Art Deco style.

The Moscow Kremlin Museums introduce an exhibition “Elegance and Splendour of Art Deco. The Kyoto Costume Institute, Jewelry Houses Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels”. It will be the first time when the collection of women’s clothing by haute couture European houses of the Art Deco period from the Kyoto Costume Institute (Japan) will be demonstrated in Russia.
