The process of dressing the tsarina of the 16th-17th centuries was an amazing ritual! Each thing had its own meaning and became a part of the rich costume not by accident. Unfortunately, women's clothes of that time have not been preserved in the Moscow Kremlin Museums. But thanks to the study of cutting books and the painstaking work of costume designers, we managed to recreate the image of the Russian Tsarina.

In the new project Life at Royal Court, we go back four centuries and show how it was!

Especially for hearing-impaired, the Moscow Kremlin Museums has created a series of video materials. One will get acquainted with walls and towers of the medieval fortress, interior and décor of the Patriarch's Palace, and see treasures of the Armory. You'll find out what tsarina's and noble boyar's dresses consisted, and how feasts were held at tsar's court.

Enjoy watching it!
