On 12 September 2023, the Vladimir K. Arseniev Museum and Heritage Site of the Far East History inaugurated of the exhibition "Conquerors of the Seas and Gifts of the Oceans. Masterpieces from the Collection of the Moscow Kremlin Museums". The display features more than one hundred and fifty pieces from the Moscow Kremlin Museums’ collection, introducing visitors to the history of the national fleet and showing how the sea has inspired Russian and foreign craftsman throughout the centuries. Some items are on display for the first time.

The Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Nadezhda Prepodobnaya, the Director General of the Moscow Kremlin Museums Elena Gagarina, the Director of the Vladimir K. Arseniev Museum and Heritage Site of the Far East History Victor Shalay, and the representatives of the major sponsors of the project – the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of PJSC 'Novatek' Denis Soloviev and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC 'Sovcomflot' Sergey Frank took part in the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

"The sea is the element that people have worshipped, adored, studied and which has been the source of all wealth. Visitors will see the work of local and foreign jewellers, goldsmiths, armourers and embroiderers who have used the gifts of the sea in their creations: pearls, coral, mother-of-pearl and amber. Luxurious creations that leave no one indifferent," says Elena Gagarina, Director General of the Moscow Kremlin Museums.

"I am glad that the Jubilee project has a theme that is close to the hearts of every resident of the Primorsky Krai. Here we can see the true value of exceptional relics that tell us about the three-year history of the Russian fleet," notes Victor Shalay,Director of the Vladimir K. Arseniev Museum and Heritage Site of the Far East History.

Nadezhda Prepodobnaya read the address of welcome from the Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova and congratulated everyone on the launch of the fifth, the anniversary joint exhibition of the two museums.

Denis Soloviev, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of PJSC 'Novatek', mentioned that the company gained an interesting experience by participating in such a prestigious event, while Sergey Frank, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the state corporation 'Sovcomflot', said that it was very important for the company to support the project, in order to allow young people to discover the glorious past of the native navigation.

The exhibition "Conquerors of the Seas and Gifts of the Oceans. Masterpieces from the Collection of the Moscow Kremlin Museums" will run until 14 January 2024.
