TREASURES OF THE ORDER OF MALTA. NINE CENTURIES IN THE SERVICE OF FAITH AND CHARITYThe edition, prepared for the exhibition "Treasures of the Order of Malta. Nine centuries in the Service of Faith and Charity", consists of four sections, which are to reveal the major stages within the history of the Order: I. Jerusalem – Rhodes (1113–1523), II. Malta (1530–1798), III. The Order of St John of Jerusalem in Russian Empire (1797–1817), IV. The Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta (since 1834 till the present time). Each section begins with research articles followed by the descriptions of the exhibits.

The catalogue presents about 200 artworks from various European museums, archives and private collections, including those of Russia, Malta, Italy and France. The precious items, crafted by the best jewellers and artists, as well as ancient badges and historical records of the Order and other artefacts help to trace the peculiarities of the activities of the Order of Malta - one of the oldest institutions of Western and Christian civilization.
