Such kind of vessels was in demand at the table. Executed of precious materials and decorated with various techniques, salt-cellars, pepper pots, mustard pots and vinegar cruets were an essential part of the court tableware. They were shaped as flasks, animals or plants and finished with cast figures and other decorative details. Most of them are true masterpieces of goldsmithery.
