Showcase 14. Artworks by Moscow makers of the second half of the XVIIth century

At the beginning of the XVIIth century economic and foreign-policy progress of Russia ensure a further development of goldsmithery. The Golden and Silver Chambers, under the direction of B. Hitrovo, were producing different jewellery artworks, decorated with precious stones, pearls, enamels, filigree. The articles, displayed in the showcase 14, reveal the tendency to splendour and luxury within the tradition of decorative art.
