Showcase 13. Silverware from the cities of the Volga region in the XVIIth century

The showcase 13 includes silver items of the XVIIth century, executed in Yaroslavl, Kostroma and Nizhny Novgorod, where silversmiths possessed various techniques of art processing of jewellry, including relief work. The articles are decorated with openwork embossment, based on tradition of wood carving. Running ornament of delicate workmanship covers almost all the surface of the silverware.
