Showcase 10. Russian tableware of the XVIIth century

Precious utensils, represented in the showcase 10, were the trappings of the everyday life in Russia during many centuries. The display includes different types of the tableware: plates, ladles, globe-shaped loving cups, tankards, various cups etc. The items were made of wood, clay, silver and gold. Some of them, belonged to wealthy grandees, were decorated with precious stones, pearls and even ornamental inscriptions as accessories of ceremonials and rituals.
