Treasures and jewellery artworks

Treasures are one of the most interesting groups of archeological finds. About 30 troves have been found in the territory of medieval Moscow. among them should be particularly noticed complexes of the Pre-Mongolian time (second half of the XIIth - early XIIIth century), which are important sources of history of the town's life's first centuries.  Besides, excellent artworks of Old Russian jewelry show their great craftsmanship and imagination and allow studying technique of makes of the past. Silver decorations of that time are temporal rings and beads, neck hoops and bracelets, buttons and rings and suspension brackets. The significant part of Kremlin treasure-troves are monetary complexes of the XVth-XVIIth centuries. Among them are small troves of silver rubles and sizable ones including hundreds of rubles.
