Smithery

Smithery belonged to the crafts flourishing in Moscow in its first centuries.  Makers  executed warious equipments (knives, chisels, axes, awls), agricultural instruments (scythes, spade sets), weapons and armours (arrows, chain armours, battle-axes, spears, helmets), objects of everyday house life - knives, scissors, needles, keys, locks). Complex padlocks, produced by Russian makers of lots of details (32-34) were well known either on the local market or abroad, in East European countries.
