Prophets and patriarchs

The Prophetical and Patriarchal tiers include 30 icons with full-length portraits of messengers of Christ, image of Our Lady with the child in her lap, half-length portraits of patriarchs. Both tiers date back to the time of the cathedral’s reconstruction after the fire of 1547.
