Icons of the 16 preserved feasts represent scenes from the Gospel, revealing life of the Saviour. The question of its origin is a point at issue. According to one version some of the icons were executed by Andrei Rublev, i.e. "The Annunciation", "The Nativity", "The Purification", "Epiphany", "The Transfiguration", "The Resurrection of Lazarus", "Entrance into Jerusalem".
