Зал 1. Оружейная палата
The basic part of the collection consists of cultic objects made in royal and patriarchal workshops of the Kremlin in the XV-XVIIth centuries. Many of them were created on orders of Great Moscow Princes, Russian Tsars and Metropolitans as donations to the Kremlin churches. Shrine covers of St. Cyril of Belozersk and Tsarevitch Dmitry are exhibited in a separate showcase.

Secular objects, such as decorations for male and female suits - rings, kolts (medallions attached to a female headdress), bracelets, pendants by Byzantine, South Slavic and Old Russian masters, demonstrate sources of Russian Art. The Ryazan treasure-trove of the XIIth century gold adornments is of particular value.
