By the end of the XIXth century, it lost its initial outlook. By the 500th Anniversary of the cathedral in 1989, on display here was an exhibition aimed to show the unique collection of icons of the ancient royal home church. Among the exhibits there is a gorgeous throne cross of the 60s-70s of the XVIth century from the altar of the Annunciation Cathedral. On display are icons of the XIVth-XVIth centuries, which had been placed in the iconostases of the Annunciation Cathedral in ancient times. One of them is the entirely displayed iconostasis of the Archangel Gabriel's Chapel.
