Among the artworks, having been produced in the sultans’ workshops, items of arms and armoury were extremely valuable. Turkish equestrian paraphernalia were held in high esteem as well. The Museum's ceremonial Turkish equestrian paraphernalia, i.e. saddles, stirrups, bridle and pectoral trappings, caparisons, represent one of the most significant collections in the world. Examples of Turkish defensive and military weaponry, horse trappings and Tsars’ regalia, remarkable for their fine decoration and variety of artistic ornamentation, are fully illustrated within the exhibition.
