    Saint Louis and Relics of the Sainte-Chapelle

    The Moscow Kremlin Museums present an exhibition introducing the greatest achievements of medieval culture of France to the Russian audience. This joint international project of the Moscow Kremlin Museums and the Centre des monuments nationaux of France supported by the French Embassy will become the main event of the Russia-France Year of Cultural Tourism.

    “It is Quiet in Shipka…” For the 140th Anniversary of the Russian-Turkish War of 1877-1878

    The Moscow Kremlin Museums participate in the exhibition at the State Historical Museum, dedicated to the 140th Anniversary of the Russian-Turkish War for liberation of Bulgaria, and give on loan a unique exhibit – cavalry sabre and scabbard. It belonged to Russian General Field Marshal – Iosif Vladimirovich Romeyko-Gourko, prominent hero of that war.

    The exhibition of photographs from the collection of the Moscow Kremlin Museums held at the State Historical, Architectural and Natural-Landscape Open-Air Museum ‘Izborsk’ is organized within the framework of the International Conference ‘Dialogue Fort Ross’.

    Exhibition of Treasures of Imperial Japan

    On July 5, 2017 the Moscow Kremlin Museums will open an exhibition 'Beyond Imagination: Treasures of Imperial Japan from the Khalili Collection, 19th to early 20th century'. It will be the first time when a part of a unique collection, which was founded in the 1970-s by a world famous scientist, collector and philanthropist Nasser David Khalili, will be shown in Russia.

    The Moscow Kremlin Museums participate in the exhibition held at the Stone Carving and Jewellery History Museum in Yekaterinburg, which marks the 25th Anniversary of the Museum. Chamber and refined exposition is dedicated to the art of Russian jewellers and stone-carvers of the 19th – early 20th century, which is admired by worldwide.

    The Era of Metropolitan Macarius. For the Days of Slavonic Literature and Culture

    The Moscow Kremlin Museums participate in the exhibition at the State Historical Museum, dedicated to the large-scale activity of Metropolitan of Moscow and All Russia Macarius. He was canonized by the Russian Orthodox Church in 1988. It is Metropolitan Macarius who is associated with one of the most flourishing periods of Russian medieval culture. The basis of the exhibition is icons, manuscripts, arts and crafts pieces, as well as small statuary from the collection of the State Historical Museum.

    The Moscow Kremlin Museums got the awards of the International Festival

    The two projects of the Moscow Kremlin Museums were pronounced prize winners of the F@IMP 2.0 (Festival of Audiovisual International Multimedia Patrimony) organized by AVICOM, ICOM International Committee for Audiovisual, New Technologies and Social Media. The award ceremony took place in Uhersky Brod, Czech Republic on 14 June 2017.

    The Moscow Kremlin Museums have launched a Mobile Application

    The Moscow Kremlin Museums in collaboration with KAMIS Museum Systems Ltd. and Multimedia Solutions Lab Ltd. have produced a multimedia application for smartphones and tablets – 'Moscow Kremlin Museums. Armoury Chamber'. It provides the latest news about the events of the Kremlin Museums and full information on the Armoury Chamber, i.e. the map of the museum, automatic navigation through the halls, audio guide, information about its halls and exhibits, games with museum content and in-museum quests. The Armoury Chamber provides Wi-Fi, so it is possible to download the app directly at the museum.

    Installation of the Exhibition of Treasures of Imperial Japan

    Installation of the exhibition 'Beyond Imagination: Treasures of Imperial Japan from the Khalili Collection, 19th to Early 20th Century' is complete. Soon a new display area presenting world famous Japanese kimono, unsurpassed samples of silk embroidery, porcelain, metal and enamel artworks will be revealed. Most of them were created by craftsmen-official suppliers of the Japanese Imperial court. The exposition is housed in two halls, each having its own colour, light and spacing. The design of the exhibition allows visitors explore the items from various perspectives.
