    ELEGANCE AND SPLENDOUR OF ART DECO. The Kyoto Costume Institute, Jewelry Houses Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels

    The Moscow Kremlin Museums introduce an exhibition “Elegance and Splendour of Art Deco. The Kyoto Costume Institute, Jewelry Houses Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels”. It will be the first time when the collection of women’s clothing by haute couture European houses of the Art Deco period from the Kyoto Costume Institute (Japan) will be demonstrated in Russia.

    Fascination of Reality. Dutch Burgher House Interior of the 17th Century

    The Moscow Kremlin Museums participate in the exhibition “Fascination of Reality.Dutch Burgher House Interior of the 17th Century” which will be held at The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts. The exhibition is dedicated to the burghers’ house and its special role in life and culture in the 17th century Holland. On display are paintings by masters of the Dutch Golden Age, gold, silver, porcelain and glass artworks, as well as pieces of furniture – as all these things were an essential part of a burghers’ house and object of their owners’ passion and vanity.

    The “Russian Royal and Imperial Hunting. From The Moscow Kremlin Museums’ Collection” exhibition is dedicated to hunting, one of the most popular entertainments of Russian tsars and emperors. It was an important part of the court ceremonial, aimed at demonstrating the sovereign’s splendour and majesty, authority and power to his subjects and foreign guests.

    Georg Christoph Grooth and the Time of Elizabeth Petrovna

    The Moscow Kremlin Museums participate in the exhibition at the State Russian Museum dedicated to Empress Elizabeth Petrovna’s reign – the epoch when Russian culture flourished. The new ideas, such as collecting the art pieces penetrated into Russian culture in the 18th century owing to Peter the Great and continued expanding and achieved high development level during his daughter’s reign.

    From the Dinner-Service Storerooms. Decorating the Russian Imperial Table in the Eighteenth to Early Twentieth Century

    The Moscow Kremlin Museums participate in the exhibition held at the State Hermitage Museum dedicated to the festive decoration of the imperial table during receptions at imperial residences and Grand Dukes’ palaces.

    The Moscow Kremlin Museums and the Centre des Monuments Nationaux of France signed an agreement

    18 January 2017 - The press-conference dedicated to the upcoming exhibition `Saint Louis and Relics of the Sainte-Chapelle` took place at the French Embassy. At the press-conference Director General of the Moscow Kremlin Museums Elena Gagarina and President of the Centre des monuments nationaux of France Philippe Belaval signed an agreement on giving on loan the stained glass from the Sainte-Chapelle.
