    ELEGANCE AND SPLENDOUR OF ART DECO. The Kyoto Costume Institute, Jewelry Houses Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels

    The Moscow Kremlin Museums introduce an exhibition “Elegance and Splendour of Art Deco. The Kyoto Costume Institute, Jewelry Houses Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels”. It will be the first time when the collection of women’s clothing by haute couture European houses of the Art Deco period from the Kyoto Costume Institute (Japan) will be demonstrated in Russia.

    Fascination of Reality. Dutch Burgher House Interior of the 17th Century

    The Moscow Kremlin Museums participate in the exhibition “Fascination of Reality.Dutch Burgher House Interior of the 17th Century” which will be held at The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts. The exhibition is dedicated to the burghers’ house and its special role in life and culture in the 17th century Holland. On display are paintings by masters of the Dutch Golden Age, gold, silver, porcelain and glass artworks, as well as pieces of furniture – as all these things were an essential part of a burghers’ house and object of their owners’ passion and vanity.

    Exhibit of the Month

    The Moscow Kremlin Museums participate in the “Exhibit of the Month” series of exhibitions of the State Historical Museum, and present an item of historical importance from the The Stables Treasury – a saddle with stirrups, which belonged to Prince Dmitry Ivanovich Pozharsky, a national hero of the war with polish invaders in 1612.

    The “Russian Royal and Imperial Hunting. From The Moscow Kremlin Museums’ Collection” exhibition is dedicated to hunting, one of the most popular entertainments of Russian tsars and emperors. It was an important part of the court ceremonial, aimed at demonstrating the sovereign’s splendour and majesty, authority and power to his subjects and foreign guests.

    Georg Christoph Grooth and the Time of Elizabeth Petrovna

    The Moscow Kremlin Museums participate in the exhibition at the State Russian Museum dedicated to Empress Elizabeth Petrovna’s reign – the epoch when Russian culture flourished. The new ideas, such as collecting the art pieces penetrated into Russian culture in the 18th century owing to Peter the Great and continued expanding and achieved high development level during his daughter’s reign.

    The Moscow Kremlin Museums participate in the exhibition held at the State Hermitage Museum dedicated to the festive decoration of the imperial table during receptions at imperial residences and Grand Dukes’ palaces.

    The Moscow Kremlin Museums have been recognized as the best tourist attraction of Moscow of 2016

    The Moscow Kremlin Museums were voted by representatives of the tourism industry of Russia and citizens of Moscow the best tourist attraction of Moscow in 2016. The museum has won the famous Guiding Star award, established by the Committee for Tourism and Moscow government, in the category 'The best place for tourism and excursion activities'.

    Exhibitions in the Moscow Kremlin Museums in 2017

    In March 2017 the Moscow Kremlin Museums introduce the greatest achievements of medieval culture of France to the Russian audience. This joint international project incorporates masterpieces related to the epoch of one of the most famous French kings – Saint Louis IX (1214 - 1270), including those of the Louvre Museum, Museum of the Middle Ages (Cluny), the remarkable glasses from Sainte-Chapelle and the highlight of the exposition – the Reliquary for the Crown of Thorns of the Savior from the Notre Dame Cathedral.
